No animations, buggy notifications, bad UX, not even all gifs work inside the app. I’m so disappointed.

It’s nice to see Twitter still cares about the native client. However its full of bugs, I would rollback if I could.
"Twitter is the best way to connect, express yourself and discover what’s happening.” … And this app is probably the worst way to use it...
Buggy, freezes and crashes all the time. To the point of being unusable. Please hire new developers.
There is no support for Full Screen and SplitView on the Mac. It’s not like Twitter is a very complicated app and it could hinder its update cycle: you basically are a top to bottom list of links and short messages and people have been requesting this for so long: support FullScreen, support Split View. Others with considerably less ressources and considerably more complicated app designs have supported it from the start. Come On! (Apart from this, Twitter is an excellent service, but the desktop app really is a shame).

The older version was kind of out of date, but it just worked. This new version incorporates the flat visual, but it looks like it’s done through HTML, so it’s kind of flaky (the old native interface was preeeety nice). It crashes frequently and it’s kind of slow, but still usable. I hope they figure that out soon :
Need to evolve the icon to a more flat Yosemite Like design… I would consider the remove of the outside box and leave the bird only...
This version is freezing a lot at my MacBook Pro 15 Mid 2014. Besides freezing, the notification isn’t working properly, it shows the red icon all the time. Please fix it and it will be great.
I was excited when noticed there was finally an upgrade to twitter app, but after upgrading I wish there was a way to downgrade. The app looks pretty, but doesn’t run well, it freezes and crashes all the time. When reading a whole conversation, the latest tweet in very small font looks unnecessary. The multiple pictures layout is also worse than it used to be, but the navigation between pictures is a nice feature. At least it has gif support and finally the mute feature. The app was the best of them before the upgrade, I hope the developers can work to fix the issues so we can keep using it.
Twitter update brought new design, gif and video support, but also slow graphics, slow performance, many bugs, crashes and instability. Don’t upgrade, the older version was way better.
Does not support any of the newer features of Twitter, such as videos, surveys, citations - which is quite odd for an "official” app. Quite annoying.
It occupies even more with now and instead of that neutral grey the sidebar has a very blue toning all over.
Very slow/laggy since release of the overhauled versions... Missing the old design with grey sidebar and white main section - why is there no „classic design“?
They found a way to make it even worse.
I do enjoy using the application. Especially in combiniation with a keyboard-shortcut to hide/show the window quickly. Only „problem“ I experienced is, is that the „pull to refresh“ on the Newsfeed is kind of hard to accomplish with the Magic Mouse, no problem with the Trackpad though.
it’s amazing how this app becomes worse with each update. almost as if it’s deliberate. how hard can it be?
It does what you expect fairly well, however some things are simply annoying and inexplicable. I ahve to restart the app frequently because it disables automatic feed updates, but hey on the plus side it lets you know that ;-) Second which I cannot wrap my head around. Tell me one App that is the perfect Split Screen companion App, maybe Twitter? right, but sad thing the app doesn’t support it. So basic Twitter functionality works fairly ok, but nothing special. Sad that you cannot use any third party apps anymore.
keeps crashing for no reason when scrolling down it keeps getting stuck why make an update to make it worse?
Liked the update at first but now it seems to be stuck in an endless loop of notifications - even after I’ve turned off notifications for Twitter. If it continues, I’ll have to delete the entire app and go with something else.
